After reading the name of my blog, I realized that it's really quite untrue for me. If I've learned anything in my short journey into motherhood, most of the time, it is neither plain nor simple.
As a first-time mother, I feel like I'm always making decisions, like what to feed my baby, what type of diaper to use, and the list goes on and on. I've also become particularly skilled at talking on the phone, feeding my child, and cooking supper! I know that I'm not alone in analyzing every little decision or performing that multitasking magic trick. We all do both of those things and much more making our life anything but ordinary.
My "not so plain and simple" job as a mother began 8 months ago. I have a son named Alex who I love spending my time off with. We live in Hampton with my husband Jeff. Some of my recent motherly resolutions have been to use cloth diapers, glass bottles and to feed Alex organic and locally as much as possible.
While not every part of motherhood is clear or simple, I look forward to giving my "real" take on things. I'll share about my everyday life and what it's like to be a working mom (not until September)! I'll write about products that I have discovered and some of the decisions that I have made.
I may make it sound like being a mother isn't easy, but I wouldn't change a thing.
Thanks for reading. It's been a long time since I blogged!
